| 'No new AEPNs to import' | This appears when your employee details are up to date. |
| 'We have not been able to complete your AEPN request...' | This error appears for one of these reasons:

| 'Employment ID is not valid' | Sometimes, when an employee changes from enrolled to exempt, the employment record no longer appears in the auto-enrolment portal. When this happens, the submission returns the error 'Employment ID is not valid'. Employees on Suspended status with a 0% contribution rate continue to process as expected. |
| This is a message you can expect while eligibility assessment is ongoing. AEPNs don't appear every pay run. |
Service and certificate errors
| Error message | Details |
| 'Unable to connect to Internet. Please fix these issues before trying again' | This error appears if you try to retrieve an AEPN before the service is active. |
| 'Internal error while calling the service' | This is a time-out message within the service, which occurs when the NAERSA server is busy at the time of the request. |
| The error appears if you're not on the latest version or your certificate is out of date. |
