Download and install the latest version of Sage Payroll

The software update installs v27.3 for 2024 tax year, and v28.0 for 2025.

To ensure your installation runs smoothly, we recommend you run through some quick checks:

1. Open Sage Payroll 2024 and log in to your Payroll.
2. Go to Help then select System Information.
3. Confirm your current version number is v27.2.
   If it's v27.3 or above, you've already installed the update.
4. Make a note of the Program Directory and Data Directory.
5. Back up your data.

Now you can download and install the software.

Follow these alternative steps to install Sage Payroll on a network. Or if you're running on a single computer, follow the steps below:

1. Close Sage Payroll 2024.
2. Select the button below to update -
   Download Sage Payroll
3. Locate and right-click Sage Payroll v27.3 Install.exe then select Run as administrator.
4. Select the I accept the terms of the licence checkbox, then Next.
5. Select This Computer, then Next.
6. Choose Custom, then select Next.
7. Check the program directory and data directory are the same as you noted earlier. If not, select Browse, and choose the correct location, then OK.
8. Select Next, then select the Add shortcuts to my desktop checkbox.
9. Select Install, then Finish.

You've now installed the latest Sage Payroll update.
