If your data is on a network, you need to install the Server update, then install the client update on each computer. This keeps your legislation correct and prevents data issues. 

Once you install the Server update, a message prompts each client to install the latest update if they aren't already using it. This occurs when they try to log in.

To install on your server, follow the steps below.

Before you install

To help ensure a smooth installation, we recommend you complete the preparation steps before you install your software.

Download Sage 50 Payroll Ireland, and install on the server

As long as all clients connect to the same server installation, you only need to complete one server install.

1. Select the link below to download the installer:
   
   • Download Sage 50 Payroll Ireland v29.2
2. Once the download is complete, open your Downloads folder.
3. Right-click Sage50Payroll_IRL_v29.2.exe, then select Run as administrator.
4. To confirm that you accept the licence terms select the checkbox, then select Next.
5. Select Server, then Next.
6. Check the data folder is correct.
   • If not, select Browse, enter the correct directory, then OK
7. Select Next, then Install, then Finish.
8. Right-click Sage50Payroll_IRL_v29.2.exe, then select Run as administrator.
9. To confirm that you accept the licence terms select the checkbox, then select Next.
10. Select Client, then Next.
11. Select Custom, then Next.
12. Check that the program and data directories are correct.
    • If not, select Browse, enter the correct directories, then OK
13. Select Next, then select the Add shortcuts to my desktop checkbox.
14. Select Install, then Finish.

If you need to install the client software, try to log in as normal to a payroll on the server installation you updated. A prompt appears allowing you to update the client.
