Set up your payroll for nominal integration

Created on  | Last modified on

Summary

This article will take you through all the steps needed to set up and run nominal integration in Sage Payroll.

Description

You can use the nominal feature to create a file with your payroll information to import into Sage 50 Accounts, or a similar accounting software.

This can be used to make transferring the details of your payroll to your accounts simpler and faster.

Before you can create your nominal files, you first need to setup and enter your nominal settings. This is so Sage Payroll knows how to post your journals to your desired nominal codes.

NOTE: If you are setting up the nominal mid-period, ensure the payroll status reads Start of Period (SOP) or Time and Pay Calculated (CALC) or the settings will not be applied in the current period. If the payroll is at status End of Period (EOP), you should rewind the payroll.
