Request Revenue Payroll Notifications (RPNs) for new employees in Sage 50 Payroll Ireland.

Resolution

Before you start

Before you retrieve an RPN, make sure you:

  1. Create a new employee record in Sage 50 Payroll Ireland.
  2. Set their Tax Status to Emergency and, if applicable, enter their PPS number.

NOTE: If the employee hasn’t worked in Ireland before, they must register their first job through the MyAccount portal on the Revenue website.


Request an RPN

Once you’ve set up the employee, request their RPN using Retrieve Revenue Payroll Notifications (RPNs) in Sage 50 Payroll Ireland.

If the RPN doesn’t arrive within two to three weeks, ask the employee to contact Revenue directly.
