You can confirm the period number and dates, clear timesheet data, and prepare your payroll for processing. When you set a new period, Sage 50 Payroll Ireland automatically archives the previous one. You can access that data anytime to print reports or review past payrolls.
NOTE: Before setting a new period, make sure you’ve set up the payroll calendar.
| Ins. Weeks | Enter the number of insurable weeks in the new pay period. |
| Nominal Period | Enter the nominal period to which this new pay period belongs. |
| Bonus Run | Select this option if you need to process a bonus run period. |
| New Cost Month | Select this option if you’re starting a new cost month. |
| Pay Date | Enter the actual date you’ll pay employees. This is the date in your Revenue submission. |
| Cheque Date | Enter the cheque date for the new payroll run. |
| Giro Date | Enter the giro date for the new payroll run. |
| Bank Date | Enter the bank transfer date for the new payroll run. |
| CWPS Week From/To | If applicable, enter the first and last week you want to make Construction Works Pension Scheme (CWPS) deductions for in the period.
NOTE: Setting the CWPS calendar up correctly ensures the calculation of the correct weeks. For more information, refer to the Construction Workers' Pension Scheme (CWPS) year end tasks. |
If you choose dates outside the expected range, a warning message appears.
