How to reset 2-factor authentication
Description

Although you can't remove 2FA from your account permanently, you can remove or reset the device you currently use to authenticate. Once you do this, you're ready to set up 2FA again, for example on a new device.

How you do this depends on whether or not you still have access to your 2FA device/primary 2FA method.

If you still have access to your existing 2FA device and primary 2FA method, you can reset 2FA via Account Management.

▼ You don't have your existing 2FA device/method

Use your recovery code or recovery method to log in to Account Management, where you can reset 2FA.

 NOTE: A recovery method is different to a recovery code.
