Why you can't unallocate a transaction
Description

Sometimes within the Transactions module in Sage 50 Accounts, if you select a transaction you can't select the unallocate option.

Cause
Resolution

Not allocated

The selected transaction isn’t currently allocated to another transaction.

Non-base currency

Foreign Trader is active and the selected transaction is a non-base currency.

Instead you must delete the transaction that also corrects the revaluation postings.

Lock date

If the transaction is before the current lock date and the user doesn't have access to the lock date settings option. You can give users access to the Lock date feature

CIS transaction

The CIS module is active and the transaction is a CIS purchase invoice (PI), purchase credit (PC), or purchase payment (PP).

Instead you must delete the PP and the software automatically deletes the PC transaction.

Link removed

The transaction is allocated to a transaction that no longer exists. For example, due to repaired data corruption.

These transactions can't be unallocated or deleted.
