Upload your accounts data to Microsoft 365 for the first time
Description

To use the great Microsoft 365 integration features of Sage 50 Accounts, you must first upload your data to Microsoft 365. The upload process copies some of your Sage 50 Accounts data to the cloud so that it can be synced with Microsoft 365.  This data is visible to all users in your company Microsoft 365 group, and includes transactional and nominal information.

NOTE: Before you can upload your data, you must ensure you have:

Upload your accounts data to Microsoft 365

You must use a global administrator Microsoft 365 login to upload your data. Depending on the amount of data you have, the next step may take several minutes to complete. You can't use Sage 50 Accounts while your data is uploading, however, other users can continue to process as normal.

CAUTION: If you're using Remote Data Access, you must upload your data from Sage 50 Accounts at the main site.

  1. Ensure you've installed all available updates by visiting sage.co.uk/accountsupdates
  2. Open Sage 50 Accounts then choose the company you want to upload and log in as manager.
  3. On the menu bar click Settings, then click Company Preferences.
  4. Enter your Password, then click OK.
  5. Click Microsoft 365, then click Let's get started.
  6. Enter your Microsoft 365 email address then click Next.
  7. Enter your Office365 password then click Sign in.
  8. If a permissions request appears, select the Consent on behalf of your organisation check box, then click Accept.
  9. Click Upload Now, then when processing is complete click OK.
