Where is my data kept?
Description
Sometimes it may be necessary to find where your Sage 50 Accounts data is kept. For example, to move data to a new location, or to carry out maintenance on your data. Let's take a look.

CAUTION: Before making any changes, please ensure you take a full backup of your data. If you're unsure, please contact your local IT support or Sage.

Open Sage 50 Accounts.
Check the Data path for the relevant company in the company selection window:

In Windows, browse to the following relevant folder: TIP:To show the ProgramData folder you may need to show hidden files and folders.

Double-click the COMPANY file and choose to open it using Notepad, then click OK.
A notepad window opens, showing the path to your accounts data. If you have more than one company, all the paths show on separate lines.
