Summary
How to use Quick Entries to create sales invoices and credit notes in Sage Accounting.
Description
Use Quick Entries to create sales invoices and credit notes that you don't want to print or email to a customer.
Quick entries are great when you create your invoices in another system and just want to record the amounts in Sage Accounting. Enter them on a grid for one or more customers at the same time.
Resolution
How this works
Enter quick entries on a grid for one or more customers at the same time.
Save time and tab to each field.
Once saved, pay the quick entry invoice using a customer receipt or credit note as normal.
For sales invoices that you want to print or email, or add products or services, use:
Sales invoice (UK) or Sales invoice (IE)
or
Sales credit note (UK) or Sales invoie (IE)
Add a quick entry
- From Sales choose Quick Entries.
- Select New Quick Entry and enter the details. All quick entries must have a Type (Invoice or Cr Note), Date, Customer, Reference, and Ledger Account.
- If you only know the gross amount, tab to the Total and enter the gross amount. Tab again or press Enter. We calculate the Net and VAT for you.
- If you’ve created transaction analysis types, you can also choose these now. Find out about transaction analysis types
- Add more lines or transactions as required, and Save.
