General Period Rewind warning

When you rewind payroll to make corrections to your payroll, this message can appear:

'Rewinding the last posting may affect the following areas:

Payroll Submissions:
If you've already sent your payroll submission to Revenue for this period and you make any changes to your payroll, you'll need to send another submission to Revenue.

RPNs:
If you've retrieved RPNs at status 'End of Period', period rewind will result in a loss of this data from the relevant employee records, you'll need to retrieve the RPNs again.

Employee Details:
If you've made changes to Employee Details (created new employees, updated existing employees' information) at status 'End of Period'. period rewind will result in a loss of this data from the relevant employee records. You'll need to apply these changes again.

What to do

• Payroll submissions: Resend your payroll submission to Revenue if you made changes
• RPNs: Retrieve Revenue Payroll Notifications (RPNs) again if they were at the status End of Period
• Employee details: Reapply any changes to employee records after rewind

If you use Enhanced Reporting, the warning also mentions expense categorisation:

Enhanced Reporting Submissions:
Period rewind will result in the clearing of any values that were changed in the Categorise Expenses screen. You'll need to apply these changes again. If you've already sent your Enhanced Reporting Submission to Revenue for this period and you make any changes to the processing of expenses, you'll need to send another Enhanced Reporting Submission to Revenue.

Payroll Submissions, RPNs, and Employee Details are also affected.”'
