How to back up your data in Sage Payroll.

Description

To keep your data secure, we recommend you take regular backups of your data to access whenever you need.

NOTE: You should always back up to a reliable storage medium, such as a network drive, a secondary disk drive or a USB stick. Don't save backups to your Sage Payroll program or data directories.

Let's take a look at the simple steps.

Resolution

Back up a single payroll

  1. Open Sage Payroll and log in to the payroll you want to back up.
  2. From the menu bar at the top of your window, click Miscellaneous then click Backup.
  3. Click Browse  and locate where you want to save the backup, then click OK.
  4. Click Backup, then click OK.

Back up all payrolls in your software - Full system backup

  1. Open Sage Payroll and log in as the system administrator.
  2. From the menu bar at the top of your window, click Miscellaneous then click Backup.
  3. Click Select All.
  4. To back up all system files, select the Backup System Files check box.
  5. Click browse , and locate where you want to save the backup, then click OK.
  6. Click Backup, then click OK.
