NOTE: Add the new rates once you move into the first CWPS period, with a date of the 5 August 2024 or later. 

Download the CWPS rates

1. Back up your data.
2. When the backup is complete, select Help, then System Information.
3. Select the Data Directory.
4. Download this CWPS rate changes file >
5. If prompted to save the file, make a note of the file name, for example, CWPSCONT_050824.zip
   TIP: The file can automatically go to your Downloads folder. To view press Ctrl+J on your keyboard. 
6. Browse to where you want to save it, for example, the Windows desktop.
7. Click Save.
8. Locate and right-click the saved zip folder, then select Extract All.
9. Browse to where you want to save the folder, for example the Windows desktop, then select Extract.
10. Double-click the extracted folder.
    TIP: It has the same name as the zip folder, such as CWPSCONT_050824 
11. Highlight the extracted files CWPSCONT.DBF and CWPSCONT.CDX.
12. Right-click, then select Copy.
13. Open the Data Directory window you opened in step 3.
14. Right-click, then select Paste.

Check the rates

1. Open Sage 50 Payroll Ireland, then select Company/Payroll.
2. In the Tasks list, select Construction Workers Pension.
3. Open the Rates tab, then check the changes to the CWPS rates.
