The employee's email address is what they use to log in to Online Services. It's essential you check the following:
Ensure individual email addresses aren’t the same as the one you use to set up Online Services
Email addresses are case-sensitive in Online Services, so ensure they're all lowercase
We recommend the email addresses you use for your employees are ones they want to use long term
The process to change their email address means having to delete their profile and set them up again
Ensure their email address is appropriate
An employee's email address can be visible to other users, depending on the permissions in Sage HR Online Services
What your employees need to know
We advise you to make your employees aware of the following:
You'll be using Sage HR Online Services to upload their payslips
Once you set up your employees for online payslips, advise your employees to look out for their email invitation to Sage HR. They must accept the invitation and set up a Sage ID to log in and access Sage HR.
Who your HR or Payroll admin contact is at your company
Make your employees aware of who their payroll or HR admin contact is. This is so they know who to contact if they have queries about pay values, payslips, or an issue using Sage HR Online Services.
Considerations before registering for Online Services
The first person to complete the Register for Online Payslips screen in your Sage 50 Payroll v28.1 software is automatically the administrator/owner profile. This means they’ll have administrative control over the account, including managing user access and settings.
Before you set up and log in to a Sage account and register for Online Services, carefully consider which Sage account login details to use.
