You might sometimes have to pay a leaver a further payment after they leave your company. For example, you may need to pay a commission or a retirement lump sum payment. This can happen even if they've received their final regular pay in this employment.
CAUTION:
You must speak to Revenue before making the final payment. They may want you to process the final payment on an Emergency or Week 1 basis. You need to know this before following the article.

To pay the further payment
Go to Pay Runs.
Select the leaver’s final pay run.
Select Edit Pay Run.
Put a tick in the box I understand the impact of editing a pay run, then select Confirm.
Select the employee from the list.
If Revenue didn't ask you to change the employee Tax Status, go to step 9.
Select the employee name above the payments.
Change the Tax Status as directed by Revenue. Select Save.
Add the payment as required and select Save Corrections.
Select the option Do not show the difference in the next pay run, and select Confirm.
CAUTION:
You must select Do not show the difference in the next pay run to avoid the employee being included in the next pay run with a correction.
Resubmit your pay run values
Once you make a correction, you must resubmit the pay run to Revenue.
Select the Pay Runs tab, then select the pay run you previously edited.
Under ROS Real Time Reporting, a warning message appears advising you to resubmit.
Click View Details. A resubmission window opens, and you’re prompted to enter your ROS login credentials.
Click Browse and select your ROS Certificate (.P12) file, then click Open.
In the Enter Password box, type your ROS digital certificate password.
Check the values are correct and click Resubmit.
Resend the updated payslip to your employee.
NOTE:
Arrange with the employee to pay the difference in pay.
You have made the employee a leaver too early
You may have made an employee a leaver too early and processed their pay.
In this scenario, the RTI submission has informed Revenue of the employee's leaver status. You can't now remove their leave date.
You need to set up the employee as a new starter on your payroll.
