How to edit multiple completed pay runs

You can correct errors or make adjustments in more than one pay period. Edit as many completed pay runs as you need.

The process to correct each completed pay run is the same.

For example, your employee, Charlie, received their usual pay in months 1 and 2.

You complete these pay runs. You discover missing overtime payments for Charlie for both months.

You need to add Charlie's overtime to each of the previous pay runs.

Impact on your next pay run

You can correct more than one pay run. Your choices depend on what has happened to each pay run in Sage Payroll and what has happened in reality.

You can choose whether you want to show the difference in net pay in the next pay run:

save_corrections

  • Your employee can receive the difference in net pay the next time you pay them. Choose Show difference in the next pay run. A correction line for the total of the changes will appear in the next active pay run

  • If your employee has already received the difference in net pay. Choose Do not show difference in the next pay run. No correction line will appear in the next active pay run

Resubmit your pay run values

CAUTION:

Once you make a correction, you must resubmit each changed pay run to Revenue.

  1. Select the Pay Runs tab, then select the relevant pay run you edited.
  2. Under ROS Real Time Reporting, a warning message appears advising you to resubmit.
  3. Select View Details. A resubmission window opens, and you’re prompted to enter your ROS login credentials.
  4. Select Browse, then your ROS Certificate (.P12) file, and Open.
  5. In the Enter Password box, enter your ROS digital certificate password.
  6. Check the values are correct and select Resubmit.

After completing the submission, resend payslips to the affected employees.
