Warning: 'Suspicious Action Blocked...'
Description

After you install Sage 50 Payroll Ireland, an alert from your Norton or Bullguard antivirus appears:

'Suspicious Action Blocked. Data Protector blocked a suspicious action by SagePayroll.exe.'

This is safe to ignore. Follow the steps below to complete your update.

Cause
Resolution

1. Temporarily disable your antivirus

Turn off your Norton or BullGuard antivirus, then download and install Sage 50 Payroll Ireland. Once you complete the installation, turn your antivirus software back on.

NOTE: If you're unsure how to do this, contact Norton or BullGuard support or your local IT team.


2. Check your Windows permissions

Check if you're a Windows administrator, this gives you permission to add, change and remove files during the installation.
