Norton or BullGuard warning after installing update
Description

After you install a new Sage Payroll update, an alert from your Norton or Bullguard antivirus appears:

Suspicious action blocked Norton antivirus warning message.

Disable your antivirus

Disable your Norton or BullGuard antivirus, then install the latest version of Sage Payroll.

Then turn your antivirus software back on once the installation is complete.

NOTE: If you need help with this, please refer to Norton or BullGuard support or your local IT support.


Ensure you have full permissions

Check you're logged into Windows as an administrator. This ensures you have access to add, change and remove the relevant files to install Sage Payroll.

Once you're logged into Windows as an administrator, you can install the latest version of Sage Payroll.
