Edit a product category

In Sage 50 Accounts you can group your products in to product categories. You can configure your product categories by renaming them with a name of your choice for each category.

1. Click Settings and click Configuration.
2. Click the Products tab and click Product Categories.
3. Select a product category from the list and click Edit.
   
   
   
   
4. In the Name box, enter the required name and click OK.

Product Category Label

You can define the names used if you group your products into categories. If you separate your products into categories you can create more useful reports about your product sales. To amend the label for the product category name on the product record, type the new name into the Label box. This can be up to ten characters.

Product Custom Fields

Each Product Record has three custom fields associated with it. These are on the Web tab of the product record and can be renamed by entering the new names in the Field 1, 2 and 3 boxes. You can enter up to ten characters.
