- Log into Sage Payroll as the system administrator.
- From the menu bar at the top of your window, click Company then click Company Setup.
- Click Add New Payroll, then complete the following information:
Payroll ID | Enter a name for your payroll. You can use a maximum of eight characters. You will find it helpful to use a name that indicates the pay frequency, for example, WEEKLY or MONTHLY. |
Company Name | Choose the company to which the payroll belongs. |
Password | Enter your password into the New Password: and Confirm New Password: fields. Your password must:- Be between eight and 15 characters
- Contain at least one letter
- Contain at least one number

Frequency | Choose the pay frequency of the payroll. For example, weekly, monthly, fortnightly, etc. |
- Click Create, then click Close.
TIP: You can also Set up payroll access groups and users in your company.
