| Description | Create at least one user profile before processing in Sage Payroll. Set passwords and access rights for security. For example, some users handle payroll but not year-end tasks. TIP: Need to upgrade your license to set up a new user? - Leave your details and we'll be in touch.

| Resolution | Set up an access rights group - Log in as the system administrator.
- Go to Security, then select Group Details.
- In Group No., enter a new group number.
Alternatively, if you want to edit an existing group, select Browse, then choose the group. - In Group Name, enter a name for the group.
- Select Find, thenOK.
- Select Rights.
- Select the options for this group to access.
- Right-click Rights - Group Details, then select Save.
- Select Save, then Cancel.
Set up a new payroll user profile TIP: Need to upgrade your license to set up a new user? Leave your details and we'll be in touch. - Log in as the system administrator.
- Go to Security, then select Group Details.
- Select Add, then enter the following details:
| Name | Enter the user name. Up to a maximum of eight characters. | | Group | Select the access rights group. | | Password | Select Change Password. Enter the password in both fields. Your password must: - Be between eight and 15 characters
- Include at least one letter
- Include at least one number
- Include at least one special character
TIP: Find out more about the password requirements. | - Select OK, then Cancel.
Remove a user profile - Log in as the system administrator.
- Go to Security, then select Users.
- Select the user to remove.
- Select Delete, then OK.
