ERROR: 'You cannot login at present because (username) is in (program area) on machine (computer name)'
Description

When you try to log in to Sage 50 Accounts, the following message may appear:

EXAMPLE: 'You cannot login at present because Jane is in Back up on machine PC1234'

This appears if another user is working in the exclusive zone identified in the error message. An exclusive zone is an area of the software that requires all other users to log out of the company, For example, taking a backup or running Check Data. Let's resolve this now.

You cannot login at present because <> is in <> on machine <>.
Remove this user from the request list?
Warning: Removing users whilst they are currently working in the program could cause data corruption.

Resolution

If a user is working in an exclusive zone

Wait for the user to finish working in the exclusive zone, then try to log in again.


If a user isn't working in an exclusive zone

Click Yes, then click OK, then open Sage 50 Accounts and try to log in again.

Issue persisting?

If the message continues to appear after you follow the steps above, you can Refresh the queue.dta file to resolve it.
