NOTE: With imported journals, journals created in Sage Accounts v21 and below and system generated journals, such as those created automatically when you run your year end, only non-critical fields can be edited. However, you can still reverse them and re-enter them if required.

  1. Click Transactions then select the journal you want to delete and click Delete.
  2. To keep a record of the journals before deleting them, use the Print List or Send to Excel options.
  3. Click Delete then click Yes.

    You've now deleted the journals. In Transactions they appear in red as deleted.

Are there any journals that can't be deleted?

Yes, there are some journals that can't be deleted, these are:
  • Journals created in Sage 50 Accounts v21 and below
  • Imported journals
  • System generated journals, such as those created automatically when you run your year end
