Employee Name (XXX) has the same PPS Number as Employee Name (XXX) - Validate Payroll Data
Description

An employee's PPS number should only show in one employee record. If there are multiple employees with the same PPS number the following error will show on the Validate Payroll Data report:

'Employee Name (XX) has the same PPS Number (XXX) as Employee Name (XX)'

Duplicate PPS numbers are not allowed. There are a number of reasons why duplicate PPS numbers appear in a payroll such as incorrectly reinstating an employee with a new employee record. To prevent this from happening, ensure when creating a new employee record it does not match an existing employee's PPS number.

To remove the duplicate record created in error, you must merge the employee records.
