Data Validation Error - Illness Benefit Type not relevant from 2018
Description

When running the Validate Payroll Data report, you may receive the following warning:

'One or more payments set up with the Illness Benefit Type "Employee keeps Illness Benefit". Not relevant from 2018.'

This is due to changes in the way Illness Benefit needs to be processed from 2018 Read more >

Ensure the Retrieve RPNs process is completed each period to ensure the most up to date information from Revenue is applied.

Resolution

To rectify this, you need to delete incorrect illness benefit type payments:

  1. Click Company/Payroll then Payments.
  2. Locate any payments with a type of 'Illness Benefit' then Delete.A payment which has the type "Paid Illness Benefit" does not need to be deleted.
  3. Click Close.
