When you install Sage Accounts v25 software the following message may appear:

'Error 1919: Error configuring ODBC data source'

This occurs if the software hasn't configured ODBC correctly. To resolve this, you need to ensure you're logged into Windows as a user with full administrative privileges, then install the software again directly from the installation files.

The steps below assume that you previously tried to install Sage Accounts from a download on your computer. If you haven't, you must download and install your software first.

1. Log on to Windows with administrator privileges.
2. Install the software again.

If the same message appears, continue to the next step to install the software directly from the installation files:

1. Press the Windows key  + R.
2. Type %temp% then click OK.
3. Double-click Sage Accounts.
4. Double-click Sage 50 Accounts v25 or Sage 50 Accounts v25.msi
