Description

What is auto-enrolment?

Auto-enrolment is a new retirement savings system for employees which begins on 30 September 2025.

Employees automatically enrol, if they're:

  • Aged between 23 and 60 years old
  • Don’t have a pension scheme and
  • Earn more than €20,000 per year

This means that they’ll have extra money when they retire and won’t have to rely on the state pension alone.

Sage Payroll software

We're working closely with the Department of Social Protection.

Once they confirm all the requirements, we'll start work to develop Sage Payroll so you can manage auto-enrolment for your employees.
