Summary
How to override PRSI insurable weeks in Sage Payroll.
Resolution
You usually calculate insurable weeks based on the weeks that an employee actually works.
This may not always be the case.
For example: an employee leaves partway through the month. You can override the insurable weeks to ensure PRSI shows as expected.
- Process your current pay run up to EDIT PAY stage.
- Select Edit Insurable Weeks in the Deductions section.

- Select the box to Override standard insurable weeks.
- Enter the number of insurable weeks you wish to use for this pay run. The maximum number is shown above.
If you're running a weekly payroll, the total insurable weeks increases when applying Advance holiday pay. - Select Save.
