How to update the pension tracing number in Sage Payroll.

Description

Employees can be members of:

  • an approved occupational pension scheme
  • a personal retirement savings account (PRSA)

If an employee is a member, your pay run submission reports their pension tracing number to ROS.

You need to enter the pension tracing number into the employee record.

Pension Tracing numbers are issued by the pension provider.

Resolution

You can update the pension tracing number in your software by following these steps:

  1. Select the Employees tab
  2. Select your employee record.
  3. In the Current Tax Details section, enter the Pension Tracing Number.
  4. Select Save.
  5. Repeat the above steps for any other employees you need to apply a Pension tracing number to.
