Review the chart of accounts

Summary

How to view, sort and filter your categories in Accounting Start.

Resolution

When you first set up your company in Accounting Start, we create a set of categories. We base these on your type of business: Sole trader, limited company or limited liability partnership (LLP).

We use categories to group your transactions so you can see how your business is performing.

Each  has a Group and Type that determines how transactions appear on your financial reports. These include the Profit and Loss and the Balance Sheet.

All your ledger accounts appear in the Chart of Accounts list.
