Resolve high pension contribution figures
High contribution figures appear when Sage 50 Payroll Ireland detects missing remittance from previous periods. The pension contribution file includes unpaid contributions from earlier periods when no remittance exists for those periods.
To correct this:
- Remit the pension file through Sage 50 Payroll Ireland
- Contact your pension provider to confirm whether you can manually add the contributions for the current period
- If manual entry isn’t an option, restore a backup, remit the file, and re-run the payroll
- In the next period, Sage 50 Payroll Ireland matches deductions to the correct timeframe
TIP: Always remit the pension file each period to avoid accumulation.
