Summary

Add a custom note to one or all employee payslips in Sage 50 Payroll Ireland.

Resolution

You can add short messages to payslips, such as Merry Christmas or Happy New Year. Add notes for one employee or all employees at the same time.


Add a note for one employee

  1. Go to Processing, then select Employee Details.
  2. Next to Surname, select Browse, then choose the employee.
  3. Select Notepad, then New.
  4. Complete the fields:
    • Date of this note: defaults to today’s date
    • Summary of note: enter a short title
    • Display a reminder: clear this box
    • Display payslip message: select this box, then type your note, up to 55 characters
    • From period: enter when the note starts, format: MM/YYYY
    • and for the next… periods: enter how many periods to keep it active
  5. Select Save.

Add a note for all employees

  1. Go to Company/Payroll, then select Notepad.
  2. Select New, then complete the same fields as above.
  3. Select Save, then Close.
