Before uploading your data

Check requirements

Before you start we recommend you check the requirements needed to use Sage Drive.

Backup your data

  1. Log into Sage 50 Accounts using the Manager logon name and related password.
  2. Click File then click Backup and take a backup of your data.

NOTE: Sage Drive is not a backup service. You must continue to take regular backups of your data.

Upload your data

  1. Open Sage 50 Accounts and log in as MANAGER.
  2. On the navigation bar click Apps and add-ons, then on the Sage Drive tile, click Learn more.

If the tile instead shows Manage connection, this company is already uploaded to Sage Drive.

  3. Click Get started.
  4. If you already have a Sage ID continue to the next step, if not, click .
  5. Enter your Sage ID Email and Password, click Log In then click Grant.
  6. If you have not yet registered for Sage Drive a message appears asking you to register.

If this appears click OK, and contine to step 7.

If this doesn't appear, please continue to step 8.

  7. Check your account number and serial number are correct, then click Register.
  8. Enter and confirm the passphrase, then click Save.

Please remember this passphrase, as you can't reset it. This is used when remote users connect to your data. If forgotten, you must remove and re-upload your Sage Drive data.

  9. To agree to the Sage Drive terms and conditions, select the check box then click Upload data.

NOTE: If your upload of data to Sage Drive fails without error - Read more >

  10. To invite others to access your data, click Management Centre, or to return to the Sage 50 Accounts desktop, click Close.
