From Sage 50 Payroll Ireland v29.2, your software checks whether employees on PRSI Code M are reaching or at 16 years old. The check occurs when you run Validate Payroll Data, and displays the following message: 'Employee XXXX is nearing the age of 16, and is on PRSI Code M. This employee is approaching the age of 16 and may require a PRSI Code change to ensure the correct amount of PRSI is calculated'
PRSI Code M PRSI Code M applies to employees under 16, as they don't pay PRSI. TIP: For more information on PRSI Codes, go to gov.ie. Employee reaches 16 years old When an employee turns 16, update their PRSI Code within Employee Details. For help with doing this, follow the check an employee's PRSI code article.
