Resolution
  1. Go to the Sales tab and select New invoice.
  2. Select the customer flagged as a principal contractor.
  3. Tick This is an RCT Invoice.
  4. Enter the Site number (SIN).
  5. Add your invoice items.
  6. If your business is VAT registered, Sage Accounting automatically applies the Zero rated VAT rate to use reverse charge VAT.
  7. Fill in the Invoice Date, Due Date, and any Reference.
  8. Check the totals and confirm everything is correct.
  9. Select Save or Save and email to finish.

NOTE:

You can record material and labour on separate invoice lines. However, RCT is based on the total invoice value, including both materials and labour charges.

Additional information:

  • Sage Accounting adds reverse charge VAT to both the hosted invoice and the invoice PDF
  • Use full sales invoices to record RCT invoices or credit notes. You can't use quick entries for RCT

Next: Record an RCT sales receipt.
