Skip or miss a pay run
Description

When you complete a pay run, Payroll will move on to the next pay period.

  • For example: When you complete week one, Payroll moves on to week two.

You can also skip pay runs by making a different pay run the current one.

  • For example: You completed week one. You could then make week four the current pay run.

You can also reuse an old pay calendar.

  • For example: You run a weekly pay calendar but haven’t used it in some time. You'll need to skip the missed pay runs to come up to date.

Skipping pay runs may 'finalise' P32 values

CAUTION: This section doesn't apply to companies in Ireland. This is due to Revenue's different reporting methods.

Skipping one or more pay runs can open a new P32 reporting period.

In this case, P32 values in the closed period finalise.

You can still make corrections to the closed P32 reporting periods. These corrections don’t affect the finalised P32 values.
