Edit a journal
Description

You can't edit a journal if:

  • It's included on a VAT return
  • You saved it on a bank reconciliation or marked it as cleared 
  • You migrated from a previous accounting system

NOTE:

For any journals that meet this criteria, reverse and re-enter them.

If you just want to change the ledger account on the journal, use the correction transactions feature.

Resolution
  1. From Adjustments, select Journals.
  2. Use the From and To boxes to locate your journal.
  3. Select View to open the journal.
  4. Select Edit and change the relevant information.
  5. Save your changes.
