| Error - Unable to install report files |
Description | In Sage 50 Accounts v29, the system installs the reports as a zipped folder and extracts them when the first user logs in. This error occurs when the software cannot locate the report files. |
Resolution | Uninstall Sage - Open Sage 50 Accounts, click Help, then click About.
- Make a note of the program directory and software version. If you plan to reinstall, also note your serial number, activation key and account number.
- Back up your company data then close Sage 50 Accounts.
- Press the Windows key (or click the Start menu button) then click the Settings.
- Select Apps.
- Select Installed apps.
- Scroll through the list of applications and then find the version of Sage 50 Accounts you want to remove.
- Click the three-dot icon next to the program, then select Uninstall.

Reinstall Sage - On your new computer, close all software then download the relevant software version.
- To begin the installation, locate and double-click the downloaded file, for example, [BCB:262:UKI - 50 Accounts full download version number:ECB]
TIP: To view your Downloads folder, press Ctrl + J on your keyboard while you have your web browser open. - If prompted, click Yes to allow this app to make changes to your device.
- Select the I accept the terms of the Licence Agreement check box and click Next.
- Click the Standard (recommended) installation type and click Yes, begin installation.
- Once complete, the software checks for any updates, if prompted click Install then click Yes, begin installation.
- If prompted to restart your computer, click Restart now.
- If not prompted to restart, to complete the install, click Close, then click Close again.
