Error - Unable to install report files
Description

In Sage 50 Accounts v29, the system installs the reports as a zipped folder and extracts them when the first user logs in. This error occurs when the software cannot locate the report files.

Uninstall Sage

  1. Open Sage 50 Accounts, click Help, then click About.
  2. Make a note of the program directory and software version. If you plan to reinstall, also note your serial number, activation key and account number.
  3. Back up your company data then close Sage 50 Accounts.
  4. Press the Windows key (or click the Start menu button) then click the Settings.
  5. Select Apps.
  6. Select Installed apps.
  7. Scroll through the list of applications and then find the version of Sage 50 Accounts you want to remove.
  8. Click the three-dot icon next to the program, then select Uninstall

Reinstall Sage

  1. On your new computer, close all software then download the relevant software version.
  2. To begin the installation, locate and double-click the downloaded file, for example, [BCB:262:UKI - 50 Accounts full download version number:ECB]
    TIP: To view your Downloads folder, press Ctrl + J on your keyboard while you have your web browser open.
  3. If prompted, click Yes to allow this app to make changes to your device.
  4. Select the I accept the terms of the Licence Agreement check box and click Next.
  5. Click the Standard (recommended) installation type and click Yes, begin installation.
  6. Once complete, the software checks for any updates, if prompted click Install then click Yes, begin installation.
  7. If prompted to restart your computer, click Restart now.
  8. If not prompted to restart, to complete the install, click Close, then click Close again.
