Bank type missing or no bank types to select for Electronic Banking
Description

When you set up e-banking, you need to select the relevant Electronic Banking Bank Type via the Bank details tab in the Bank Record.

This displays the list of e-banking plug-in files you install for your bank.

If the list shows only '0 Not Selected' or your bank type is missing, you’ve not downloaded and installed the file on this computer.

If the 'Electronic Banking' and 'Bank Type' option is missing, this means there's an issue with your installation of Sage 50 Accounts.

Repair your installation of Sage 50 Accounts

If the issue persists, follow the uninstall and reinstall Sage 50 Accounts section.


Uninstall and reinstall Sage 50 Accounts

If this doesn't resolve the issue, uninstall in full, then reinstall Sage 50 Accounts. 

  1. Uninstall Sage 50 Accounts.
  2. Reinstall Sage 50 Accounts.
  3. Set up e-Banking again.

You'll now have options to select in the dropdown. If your bank is still missing, follow the if your bank type isn't listed section.


If your bank type isn't listed

  1. Close Sage 50 Accounts.
  2. Download and install the relevant plug-in for your bank.
    NOTE: Close Sage 50 Accounts before installing the plug-in.
  3. Once downloaded and installed, open Sage 50 Accounts and log into your company.
  4. Go to Bank accounts, then click open the Bank record of the relevant bank account.
  5. Select Bank details, then under Electronic Banking select the relevant Bank Type. This will now show if you’ve installed the relevant plug-in.
  6. Press Save.
