Download and install the latest version of Sage 50 Accounts
Description
To move to the latest version of Sage 50 Accounts you need to export the relevant records, install the latest software, then import the records and add your opening balances. Don't worry all the steps are listed below.

Before you install
Check your computer details
Within your software, click Help, then click About and make note of the following information:
Program Directory
Version number
If using v27.1 or below, under Remote Data Access Information, make note of theSitevalue:
Main - you're at the main site, upgrade this site first
Remote - upgrade the main site before this site
N/A - this means you don't use Remote Data Access

Back up and check your data
ClickFile,then clickBack up.
Enter a file name then clickBrowseand select the location and clickOK.
ClickSelect all file types to include in backup, then clickOK.
Tocheck your data, clickYesand clickOK.
ClickClose, clickCloseagain, then clickOK.
Run your reports
To help you enter your opening balances, run the following reports for your chosen date range up to the date you are upgrading:
Now you've taken your backups, run your management reports and export your data you are ready to install.
If you can, we recommend you install the new version on a different computer. Don't worry if this isn't possible you can install the software in a new folder.
Close all software, then click the link below: [BCB:29:Accounts - latest full download direct:ECB]
This will download automatically to your downloads folder, or click Save.
To begin the installation, locate and double-click [BCB:262:UKI - Sage 50 Accounts full download version number:ECB] To view your Downloads folder, press Ctrl + J on your keyboard.
If prompted, click Yes to allow this app to make changes to your device.
Select the I accept the terms of the Licence Agreement check box and click Next.
Click the Standard (recommended) installation type and click Yes, begin installation.
Close all software, then click the link below: [BCB:29:Accounts - latest full download direct:ECB]
This will download automatically to your downloads folder, or click Save.
To begin the installation, locate and double-click [BCB:262:UKI - Sage 50 Accounts full download version number:ECB] To view your Downloads folder, pressCtrl + J on your keyboard.
If prompted, clickYesto allow this app to make changes to your device.
Select theI accept the terms of the Licence Agreementcheck box and clickNext.
Click Advanced and enter the path of the new folder, then click Next.
Check the installation path is correct, then clickYes, begin installation.
Create a new company
Open Sage 50 Accounts.
In the Add a Company window, click Create.
Click Continue then enter your software Serial number, Activation key and Account number. You can find these on your order confirmation email.
Click Next, then to confirm your licence, click OK and click OK.
To create your new company, enter your details, clicking Next on each window.
Once you have entered all your details, in the Summary window click Create.
Enter your manager Password you created during the process then click OK.
Enter your accounts information
Import Records
Once you have a new company set up, you can now import the records that you exported previously.
We recommend you import your Nominal Records first before other records such as customers, suppliers and products etc.
