Create a fixed asset record to log information on the purchase, valuation, and depreciation details. When you run your Month End option with automatic depreciation, the software uses the asset record information to calculate the postings.
TIP: You can also change multiple records using the Batch changes option.
Each fixed asset record holds the following information:
The Fixed Asset Details tab shows a description of the asset, purchase information, and the asset location or employee you allocate it to
The Fixed Asset Posting tab shows valuation and depreciation details including cost, depreciation method and rate. Also, the nominal codes you use for automatic depreciation and disposal postings
