Follow these steps on each computer where you use Sage 50 Payroll Ireland.

1. Log in to the computer as a Windows administrator.
2. In File Explorer, go to the network location where you store you payroll data and note the path.
3. In Sage 50 Payroll Ireland, go to Help, then select System Information.
4. Select the Program Directory link.
   

   NOTE: You can also right-click the Sage 50 Payroll Ireland icon on your Desktop and select Open File Location.

5. Double-click the relevant tax year folder, for example, 2025.
6. Right-click the dataloc.ini file.
7. Select Open with, then Notepad.
8. Enter the network location noted in step 2.
9. Select File, then select Save.
10. Select File, then Exit.
11. Repeat steps 5 to 10 for all tax years in the Sage 50 Payroll Ireland directory.
12. Open Sage 50 Payroll Ireland and log in as normal.
