How to change the email body text of a document
Description

When emailing layouts in Sage 50 Accounts or Sage 50 Payroll, the email body contains text advising the reader of the file format and how they can view the attachment. Using Report Designer, you can customise this wording to make it bespoke to your business.

Cause
Resolution
  1. Select the document you want to amend, then click Edit.
  2. Click Reports, then click Email Settings.
  3. Replace the existing wording with the text you want the recipient to see.
  4. Click OK.

    NOTE: if you can't see the OK button, you should check your screen resolution



  5. On the menu bar click File, then click Save As.
  6. Enter a new file name then click Save.
  7. On the menu bar click File, then click Exit.

When you next email the document, your recipient will see your new wording. For help on the other fields in the Email Settings window, you can view our advanced guide.

 

NOTE: If you can't see the Save option, you may need to configure your screen resolution.
