| Cause | Type "Employee keeps Illness Benefit" payments must not be used. Only type "Employee gives Illness Benefit to Employer" should be used. This is due to changes in the way Illness Benefit needs to be processed from 2018. Read more > |
| Resolution | Delete any illness benefit payments set as "Employee Keeps illness benefit"- Click Company/Payroll then Payments.
- Locate any payments with a type of 'Illness Benefit' then Delete.A payment which has the type "Paid Illness Benefit" does not need to be deleted.
- Click Close.
Check the Payments report- Click Reports then Payroll Reports.
- Within the Payroll tab select 'Payments', then from the 'List' on the right select the Illness Benefit Payment then Preview.
- If there are any values in the Tax year column, this indicates the payment has been used in the current year and a manual correction will be needed.
