Employee has a CWPS category assigned that is no longer in use - Validate Payroll Data
Description

If an incorrect CWPS category is assigned to an employee, this will result in a warning when running the Data Validation Report:

'Employee (number) has a CWPS category assigned that is no longer in use'

Accepted categories are:

  • POC - Pension only no DIS
  • SPB - Pension/Sick Pay
  • SPI - Standard Contribution + Industry Additions.

The BLD, BSC and ELT rates are no longer in use by the CWPS. Find out more about about CWPS schemes >

Resolution

To amend the category used:

  1. On the menu bar, click Processing then click Employee Details.
  2. Next to the Surname box, click browse  and click the relevant employee.
  3. Click the Deductions tab
  4. Under Construction Worker's Pension Scheme, select the correct category from the drop down.
  5. Click Save.
