ERROR: 'Internal error while calling the service'
Description

The following message can appear when retrieving Revenue payroll notifications (RPNs):

'Internal error while calling the service'

This is a time-out message within the service, which occurs when Revenue's server is busy at the time of the request. In this instance, try again later.

It also appears when you enter an incorrect TAIN. To resolve this, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to Company/Payroll, then select Tax Agent Details.
  2. In the TAIN field, enter or clear the tax agent number.
