Create a new bank record

How to create a new bank account record then enter your details.

Resolution

Create the account

  1. Go to Bank accounts then select New.
  2. Enter the relevant account details:

    A/C Ref*

     

    Enter the new bank account nominal code.

    Nominal Name

     

    Enter the name of your bank account.

     

    A/C Type

     

    Select your bank account type.

    • Cheque account - For bank and building society accounts
    • Cash account - Such as petty cash or till takings
    • Credit card account - For credit card transactions

    Currency

     

    If you use Foreign Trader, enter the currency for your bank account.

     

    Balance

    This shows the current balance of the bank account.

     Understand how to enter a bank opening balance.

    Minimum Limit

     

    Set a limit for your bank account. If the balance falls below this amount, the bank account will appear in red.

     

    No Bank Reconciliation

     

    Select this checkbox if you don't want to run the Bank Reconciliation option for this account.

     

  3. Select Bank Details and enter your bank address, account and contact information.
  4. Press Save then Close.
  5. Ensure the new nominal code appears in your chart of accounts.
