Step 1: Delete the company’s payroll data folder
- Open Sage 50 Payroll Ireland and log in.
- Go to Help, then System Information.
- Note the Data Directory path, but leave out the tax year at the end.
- To close Sage 50 Payroll Ireland, select Login, then Exit.
- Open File Explorer and go to the folder you noted.
- Open the tax year folder, right-click the company payroll folder, and select Delete.
- When prompted, select Yes.
- If the company has multiple payrolls, repeat these steps for each one.
- Repeat for any other tax years that include this company’s data.
Step 2: Delete the company name from Sage Payroll
- Log in to Sage 50 Payroll Ireland as an administrator.
- Go to Company, then Company Setup.
- Select the company to remove, then choose Delete Company.
- When prompted, select Yes.
- Select Close to exit the Company Manager window.
Step 3: Remove all backup files
Delete all Sage 50 Payroll Ireland backup files for that company from:
- Any computer currently or previously used to run Sage 50 Payroll Ireland
- Network drives
- USB or external storage
- Email attachments and cloud storage, for example, Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox
