How do I allocate stock to a sales order or quotation?
Description

After you've created a sales order or sales order quotation, you can allocate stock to it. For sales orders you must allocate stock before you can record any despatched goods.

NOTE: If you don't want to allocate the full order you can also do a part allocation.

  1. Click Sales orders or Quotations and select the sales order or quote you require then click Allocate stock.
  2. When prompted to confirm the allocation, click Yes.

    If Sage 50 Accounts can't allocate all stock, a message box appears giving suggestions and possible reasons why, for example, if you've insufficient stock.

For each sales order selected, an Allocated status of FULL is shown.
