Check the Sage Services Visit status.sage.com to check that the Sage Licence Service is currently available. Wait until the service issue resolves if the service is unavailable, then re-open Sage 50 Accounts. If the service is available, follow the Check your registration details section. Check your registration details - Open Sage 50 Accounts, click Help and About, and make a note of the following:
- Serial Number
- Activation Key
- Account Number
- Check these registration details are the same as stated in your order confirmation email.
TIP: Can't find your details? You can use your Account Number and Postcode to find your serial number and activation key. Reset the subscription key TIP: Before you start, make sure you have your new licence information - Hold down the Windows Key, then press E to open File Explorer.
- In the address bar, type C:\ProgramData\Sage\ then press Enter.
- Right-click SDK Licence, select Rename then rename the folder to SDK Licence OLD.
TIP: If you can't see the folder, select View, then Show and select Hidden items.
- In the address bar type the following relevant path: C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts\20xx
Where 20xx is the year of your software. For example, 2026 is v32. - Delete the sage.usr file.
- Click the button below to download the registry fix:
Download the registry fix - If prompted to save the file, note the file name, then click Save.
- Browse to and double-click the downloaded file.
- Click Yes, click Yes, then click OK.
- Open Sage 50 Accounts and when prompted, enter your Serial number, Activation key and Account number.
